Khamzat Chimaev Fight Record
Khamzat Khizarovich Chimaev is a Swedish professional mixed martial artist and freestyle wrestler who currently competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and formerly competed in Brave Combat Federation.
Chimaev is a three-time Swedish national champion in Wrestling.
Khamzat Chimaev was born on the 1st of May 1994 in the Chechen Republic and started wrestling at the age of 5 where he won a bronze medal at the Russian National Championships within the junior level.
He then migrated to Sweden in 2013 when he was 18 together with his mother and older brother.
Chimaev then became one of the best freestyle wrestlers in the country of Sweden, winning a gold medal at the 2016 and 2017 Swedish Freestyle Wrestling Championships.
Chimaev started training MMA at the age of 23 at the Allstar Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden with one of his main training partners being UFC Light Heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson.
Chimaev turned professional on May 26th, 2018, after dominating three amateur MMA fights between September 2017 and April 2018.
