MARVEL FANFARE #5 (1982)
Other than the wraparound cover, no real home runs here.
It leads with what feels an awful lot like an old Dr. Strange story (he and Clea are still together). It’s not necessarily a bad thing to publish older stories, or tales that appear out-of-continuity, but this feels like a story that simply wasn’t good enough for the regular series. A kid shows up at Strange’s door and brings mystic calamity.
Dormammu appears briefly in it. Nice art, though.
Then, speaking of out-of-continuity stories, there’s a story about Captain America and Bucky during WWII. Not bad, but not great, either.
